Jake Warren

Jake Warren is a queer Potawatomi (Anishinaabeg) nonfiction writer. Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, they earned their degrees in Creative Writing from Portland State University in 2018 and the University of San Francisco in 2021. After graduating, they worked as an editor for San Francisco’s local indie news source, Broke-Ass Stuart. Jake is always revising their manuscript, a hybrid of science and memoir titled “Love Waves” that uses earthquakes to evaluate the mental and physical effects of chronic abuse. Named for their discoverer Augustus Love, Love waves are the most locally destructive class of seismic energies. Jake currently lives with his partner in San Francisco, California.
