Tucker Hollingsworth is primarily known for his conceptual-based projects that engage questions exploring photographic choice, self-consciousness, distortion, and attention. His photos have been described by photography curator Patricia Briggs as “memorable and eye-grabbing” and his work is in the Weisman Art Museum permanent collection. Recent career highlights include installations at United International College in Zhuhai, China (2014) and at the American Institute in Madrid, Spain (forthcoming, January 2016); fellowships at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts in Amherst, Va.; the Ragdale Foundation in Lake Forest, IL; and at La Macina di San Cresci in Tuscany, Italy in 2013.
