Autumn Kioti

Autumn Kioti is an interdisciplinary artist, choreographer, actor, aerialist, instructor, fighter, activist, scavenger and trickster. She combines improvisational movement and choreography using found objects, mask and puppet building from scavenged items, painting and illustration, etching and print-based work, folk arts, aerial art and circus, martial arts, theatre, film and written works. After acting professionally, a stint as a zookeeper, running a not-for-profit children’s theatre, working as a stunt woman and a flying trapeze artist, traveling the world as an aerialist, and packratting found materials for use as art supplies, her first true performance art movement, grounded, premiered in 2011 at New York Foundation for the Arts.
