Alana Bartol
Alana Bartol comes from a long line of water witches. Her site-responsive works explore walking and divination as ways of understanding across places, species, and bodies. Orphan Well Adoption Agency is a work that examines the language and remediation practices of the Alberta oil and gas industry. Through her work, she creates relationships between the personal sphere and the landscape, particular to this time of environmental precarity.
