Process is an intimate monthly gathering that features a presentation by a SFAI Artist and a conversation about their work and process.
Gina Gwen Palacios highlights an underrepresented geographic and cultural narrative, specifically the people and land from South Texas. Her artistic practice is based on research and reflection of her Latino family history, personal narrative and America’s current political climate. This interdisciplinary artist investigates multiple levels of representation through imagery and the use of traditional and non-traditional materials. Through her work, Gina wants to create a platform for more Mexican American representation in all facets of the mainstream American narrative.
This event is free and open to the public. Suggested donation for this event is $5.
