Art of Change 2023
Join us on August 10 for Art of Change.
Art of Change is a dynamic evening celebrating catalytic artists. We are thrilled to welcome artist Mel Chin for a community dinner in our beautiful gallery followed by a talk in the courtyard of the Visual Arts Center.
Art of Change supports SFAI as a creative home for experimental space and thematic discourse. By purchasing a ticket, you fund an artist’s essential needs such as housing, studio space, and stipends— as well as resident artist talks, open studios, exhibitions, and free public events.

About Mel Chin
Mel Chin was born in Houston, Texas and is known for the broad range of approaches in his art, including works that require multi-disciplinary, collaborative teamwork and works that enlist science as an aesthetic component to developing complex ideas.
