I enjoy the freedom of working as a poet who has not gone through the channels of a formal institution. I have however, grown through the many residencies and fellowships I have engaged with over the course of my creative career. Residencies work for me.
I had the honour and pleasure of attending two residencies at the SFAI. During each time, I focused my time with research, writing, recording, performance development and had the opportunity to present my work to local audiences who would not otherwise have the opportunity to be exposed to the work I do. I now have a deep love for the Santa Fe territory.
