PROCESS / Yukiyo Kawano

Yukiyo Kawano previously had to cancel this event in March, but we are thrilled to announce she has rescheduled for May 16!

Process is an intimate monthly gathering that features a presentation by a SFAI Resident and a conversation about their work and process.

May’s Process will feature Yukiyo Kawano, a third-generation hibakusha (atomic bomb survivor) who grew up decades after the bombing of Hiroshima. Her work is personal, reflecting lasting attitudes toward the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Kawano received her MFA from Vermont College of Fine Art in 2012. Since then, Kawano’s work has been seen in U.S., Japan and Australia.

This event is free and open to the public. Suggested donation for this event is $5.
