PROCESS / Freeman & Murphy

Process is an intimate monthly gathering that features a presentation by a SFAI Artist and a conversation about their work and process.

Heather D. Freeman and Jeff Murphy are independent visual artists who often collaborate on projects, especially when their conceptual concerns parallel one another. Though they both work with digital technologies, each artist brings their own specific creative skills to the collaboration. Heather has a background in drawing and is a highly skilled animator while Jeff’s background is more specifically in lens-based imaging and design.

Jeff Murphy is an Associate Professor of Art at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where he teaches digital imaging, interactive design, photography, video, and animation. He received his BFA from the Ohio State University in 1989 and his MFA from the University of Florida in 1995. His new series entitled “Befoul” is currently on exhibit at Francis Marion University in South Carolina.

This event is free and open to the public. Suggested donation for this event is $5.
