Platform / ReMatriate

Curated by Toni L. Gentilli, SFAI Residency Director and Winoka Yepa

October’s Platform event, ReMatriate, honors the strength of Indigenous women who are leading within their communities and creating opportunities and tools that support Indigenous peoples and other women in reclaiming or rematriating ancestral traditions of female leadership. Through art, education, and conversation, this event will give space and voice to the visibility, representation, and wellness of Indigenous women.

The Current SFAI Residents & Fellows will also be opening their studios to the public at this event. Come take a look at these Truth & Reconciliation works as well as works by the current Taiwan Ministry of Culture and Creative Access Fellows.
This event is free and open to the public. Suggested donation is $10 at the door.
