conversations@SFAI is a series of critical conversations on complex topics that have local interest, national relevance, and connect with our thematic residency.

SFAI is currently focused on the theme of Food Justice in residency and in programming. Together, we are asking how can we use diverse creative practices to confront inherent social, cultural and economic problems in our food system? With this in mind, our firstconversations@SFAI on education will address the ongoing debate surrounding projects like Edible Schoolyard, which attempt to actively engage K-12 students in the food cycle through hands-on learning and applied academics.
