Art of Change 2024
Join us on August 3 for Art of Change.
Art of Change is a dynamic evening celebrating catalytic artists. We are thrilled to welcome artist Rose B. Simpson for a talk in the courtyard of the Visual Arts Center, followed by a cocktail hour and community dinner in our beautiful gallery. Art of Change supports SFAI as a creative home for experimental space and thematic discourse. The talk is free, but by purchasing a cocktail hour or dinner ticket, you fund an artist’s essential needs such as housing, studio space, and stipends— as well as resident artist talks, open studios, exhibitions, and free public events.

About Rose B. Simpson
Rose B. Simpson (Santa Clara Pueblo) holds an MFA from Rhode Island School of Design and an MA in Creative Writing from the Institute of American Indian Arts. Her works are in many prominent museum collections. In 2023, she was appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Institute of American Indian Art by President Biden. In 2024, Simpson will debut a public sculpture project at Madison Square Park and Inwood Hill Park, New York, NY, and present a solo exhibition at the Norton Museum of Art, West Palm Beach, FL. Rose is featured in the 2024 Whitney Biennial.
