Ann Lewis has spent the months of March and April this year in residence at the Santa Fe Art Institute focusing on the theme of Equal Justice. This time will culminate in a 5-day participatory installation regarding statistics around gun-related deaths in the U.S. Come join the discussion.
This is Who We Are is an interactive installation and participatory performance reflecting on the epidemic of gun violence in the United States. With an average of 8-9 children dying every day from gun-related incidents this work documents the statistic in a chrono-reactive manner. Engaging participants to exemplify these tragic numbers, This is Who We Are offers an opportunity to confront the staggering issue at hand and reflect upon how best we can save lives in these violent times.
The show runs from Monday April 23- Friday April 27
Nightly events are at 7pm Monday – Thursday, Friday at 12pm
