Niki Franco

Niki Franco is a Caribbean abolitionist community organizer, writer, and facilitator of spaces for collective study. Seeking to disrupt the bureaucratic frameworks of academia and transactional ways relationships exist under capitalism, their work experiments with truth-telling, radical history, and revolutionary imagination. They are also the host of the podcast show, Getting to the Root of it with Venus Roots. After years of organizing around public education equity, Niki is currently on a sabbatical working on their second short film which will weave threads between climate crisis, disaster capitalism, and austerity.
