Mira Burack

Mira Burack is an artist living in the mountains of northern New Mexico. Her work investigates everyday matter, from the bed to the garden, seeking out an embedded material language that exists between our bodies, our possessions and our environment. She received a a Master of Fine Arts from Cranbrook Academy of Art and Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art and Psychology from Pepperdine University. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally at the CUE Art Foundation, New Mexico Museum of Art, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Muskegon Art Museum, Cranbrook Art Museum, Media Knox Gallery in Slovenia, Art Gallery of Windsor in Canada, Kunstverin Wolfsburg in Germany, amongst others. Recent projects include the Edible Hut, a community space with a living edible roof in Detroit and Earth Sky Bed Table, an earthworks installation. Burack spends her time learning from the landscape, making and enjoying her family.
