Lauren Ruiz
Lauren Ruiz is a research-based multimedia artist whose work addresses the role of ethics, labor, and scientific authority amidst ecological crises. Ruiz has presented her research projects at the Latvian National Museum of Art, the University of Applied Arts Vienna, UC Santa Barbara, UC Berkeley, and the 2021 College Art Association Conference. Her work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally at galleries and art institutions in the United States, Japan, Canada, the Czech Republic, and Cuba. Ruiz has been a resident artist at the Vermont Studio Center, Guerrilla Science’s ArtSci Residency, and is preparing for the Revolution Residency at the Santa Fe Art Institute in 2022. Lauren Ruiz lives and works in Bellport, New York.
