Hafeez Lakhani

Hafeez Lakhani was born in Hyderabad, India and raised in suburban South Florida. His literary fiction and creative nonfiction—touching on themes of acculturation, American Muslim identity, and immigrant transformation—have been featured in Crazyhorse, Salt Hill, The Cortland Review, and The Southern Review, among other places, and have garnered fellowships from PEN and The Center for Fiction. He was twice recognized with a Notable Essay in Best American Essays and twice nominated for a Pushcart Prize.

He is also Founder and President of Lakhani Coaching, an educational consulting firm counseling students and families in four key areas: selective admissions, standardized testing, academic skills and character growth. The firm serves clients across the U.S. and in 12 countries worldwide.

In 2018, he founded Lakhani Scholars, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing $10,000 scholarships of college admissions coaching to high achieving low income students nationwide.
