SFAI ANNOUNCES NATIONAL SEARCH FOR RESIDENCY PROGRAM MANAGER
SFAI is excited to announce the launch of a national search for a Residency Program Manager. Within the past year, SFAI’s Residency Program has received the Rauschenberg Award for Arts and Activism, as well as recognition from the Alliance for Artist Communities as a leader in socially engaged and community oriented residencies. This is a unique opportunity for the right individual to further develop and grow the residency program within a dynamic, responsive, and engaging organization. The new Residency Program Manager will employ their national network to launch and manage the 2017-2018 thematic residency application process.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Residency Program Manager is responsible for attracting and managing more than artists, writers, and creative practitioners in residence each year, as well as managing the administration, promotion, and community engagement for the program. This position serves as core staff for all SFAI programming, and requires a strong network in national and international artistic communities.
The Santa Fe Art Institute is an international community of artists, innovative thinkers, and engaged citizens. We cultivate creative leadership and invest in community, culture, and place to re-imagine a more equitable world. Current areas of focus include social activism, underrepresented peoples, and place-based solutions.
ABOUT SFAI RESIDENCIES
We facilitate our mission through a renowned residency program- operated since 1985 and offered to artists, designers, and creative practitioners of many disciplines from around the world. SFAI provides skills building so that artists, designers, and future changemakers can lead, innovate, and thrive. We do this by collaborating with local and national partners who share our values, and by engaging with community members through events like our signature SFAI140 event, our Community Works program, and resident led events throughout the year.
