SFAI recently launched a new series, conversations@SFAI, in which we host critical conversations on complex topics that have local interest, national relevance, and connect with our thematic residency. Topics range from issues surrounding public education to sustainable agriculture to the cultural perils of running organizations such as SFAI. Given our current residency of Food Justice, our first conversations@SFAI on education addressed the ongoing debate surrounding projects like Edible Schoolyard, which attempt to actively engage K-12 students in the food cycle through hands-on learning and applied academics. This event was held on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at SFAI and proved to be a dynamic conversation. Thank you all who joined us!
Join us for our next conversations@SFAI on December 10, 2014.
